Pro tips

Love the idea of using turntables or lazy susans (yes, the terms are interchangeable) for easy storage in your house but not sure where to start? We’ve got you covered. Read on for the how, why and where.

1. Single turntable

Where to use it: almost any space in the house, but especially the fridge, kitchen cabinets, pantries, and laundry or bathroom shelves.

How we used it: to separate and corral cooking oils and vinegars in a cabinet next to the stove.

2. Divided turntable

Where to use it: anywhere you need to store different categories within easy reach. Items must be small enough to fit into a compartment.

How we used it: to store individually wrapped items and sweeteners in a coffee and tea cabinet. Make sure to store loose tea and paper teabags in an airtight container.

3. Deep turntable

Where to use it: anywhere you need to store floppy or loose items that can’t stand up on their own, but don’t fit into the compartments of a divided turntable (see above).

How we used it: to store bulk spices in a kitchen cooking cabinet.

4. Giant turntable

Where to use it: under the kitchen or bathroom sink, pantry corners, or in those lower kitchen corner cabinets/black holes for larger storage categories.

How we used it: to contain a high volume of spreads like nut butters, honey and jam on a lower pantry shelf.
